Self-esteem, positive or negative, begins to develop very early in life. Even toddlers, as they develop and achieve certain physical and emotional accomplishments, begin to build self-esteem. Simply speaking, self-esteem is how we feel about ourselves, which influences our attitude, motivation and behavior.
