If you are a very competitive golfer then there are bound to be more opportunities for fear to take over and effect your game. Fear without question controls the mind. When you top the golf ball off the first tee because you are not focusing on making a smooth easy swing, you can be sure fear is right at the top of the list. What happens is your mind wanders and starts to think about other things happening around you such as, who is watching you, what are they thinking. Every tiny sound makes a loud noise in your ears.
As stated earlier, the more competitive a golfer you are, the more likely you will have to deal with fear management and problems with your golf mental game. If you are a once every now and again golfer just playing for fun, then the golf mental game or fear part of golf won’t be much of an issue. You’re just out there for a stroll, a bit of a chat and to enjoy the scenery. That’s find and good and definitely nothing wrong there, however if you are reading this article I am guessing you are not a normal average golfer and are looking for results!
